Waste reception
Household waste generated from residential activities is accepted year-round at six waste reception stations within the operational area, hazardous waste collection containers, and during the spring and autumn Roinaralli collection rounds.
Pharmaceutical waste is accepted at all pharmacies within the operational area.
In addition to sorting stations, garden waste is accepted at garden waste reception points during snow-free periods.
Textile waste is accepted at collection points for end-of-life textiles.
In addition to waste reception stations and Roinaralli collection rounds, scrap metal is accepted at separate scrap metal collection points.
For daily waste, all properties must be part of an organized waste collection service. Daily waste is not accepted at the aforementioned waste reception points. Daily waste includes household waste generated daily, such as biowaste, plastic packaging, cardboard packaging, glass packaging, metal packaging, paper, and mixed waste. If there is no collection for packaging waste types at the property, they must be delivered to Rinki eco-points maintained by producer organizations.
Large waste loads, such as container loads, loads from compacting waste trucks, and other heavy traffic waste loads, are received at the Kujala Waste Centre’s Weighing Station.
