Never dispose of medicines with mixed waste or pour it down a drain. The correct and safest way to dispose of medicines is to return them to a pharmacy. The waste reception stations do not accept medicines.
You can return all household medicines to any pharmacy in the region free of charge. You can check the opening hours for your local pharmacies at apteekki.fi/apteekkihaku.
Salpakierto Ltd, in collaboration with pharmacies in the operating area, is responsible for arranging the collection of medicines. The free recycling service for medicines is a municipal service financed by the municipal waste charge.
